If you have an established website that has a good page rank in Google, but would like to switch to PromoteMyPlace for greater functionality, there are a few things you need to do to ensure your website retains its position.
1. Ensure that all SEO sections are exactly the same on both your new and existing website. Including the page title, the meta description and the H1 and H2 tags.
2. Ensure that all text is exactly the same on both your new and existing website - particularly on the homepage.
3. Contact support and ask us to redirect all old page names to their corresponding new page names. To do this, simply provide us with a list of all old page URLs alongside their new corresponding PromoteMyPlace URLs.
Please note: You need to ensure you get the old page URLs while that website is still live and your new PromoteMyPlace has not yet been published. But once you have collated them, you will then need to publish your new website and change the name servers on your domain name to point to your PromoteMyPlace website in order for us to complete the page redirect process.
Expectations: It is possible that you will see some fluctuation in your webpage ranking initially, but it should go back to where it was before - assuming you have not changed any content - based on the links that you have pointing to your old website, which will now be pointing to your new one.
