Please see below an image of the 'Website Editor' toolbar when you are in the 'Edit Website Content' section of the website build:
This is brilliant for viewing the full webpage when making any changes to the page content. Simply click on View then select Fullscreen to go into fullscreen mode. Click on it again to return to the main website editor - clicking on this button to return to your main editor also acts as a Save option.
Warning: If you do not click on the same Fullscreen Mode button to click back into the website editor any changes made to the content will NOT be saved. DO NOT click on the 'Back' button or you will lose all your hard work.
Font formatting: Bold, Italic, Change font colour
The B button allows you to highlight a piece of copy into a bolder font type to create more stand-out.
The I button allows you to highlight a piece of copy into italic font which can help create differentiation when placed into a paragraph. Typically this would be used when referring to a quote you have received from a customer i.e. a customer testimonial.
The A shows the current font colour you are using.
Select the arrow and the colour chart will appear.
Changing the formatting can all be done within the 'Formats' dropdown. This includes: header sizing (Headers), text formatting (Inline), paragraph formatting (Blocks) and the alignment (Alignment).
The formats can also be selected or cleared from the main 'Format' dropdown:
Aligning images around text embedded into main text area:
To align any images that you've embedded into the main text area of a webpage, insert the image then select 'Formats' then 'Alignment' and choose which alignment you'd like for that image. The text will then wrap around the image of you've justified the image left or right.
Inserting links and characters:
Click on the dropdown and you can insert an image, hyperlink to an internal or external webpage, or add a special character.
Bullet Points & Numbered Points
This button allows you to clearly and quickly present information about your property to potential guests, rather than having a webpage that is very copy-heavy making it hard for people to get the information they require.
This button allows you to make quick and clear points relating to your property i.e.
1. Stunning 2 bedroom villa
2. Mountain biking and hiking nearby
3. Fantastic views
Spellcheck, HTML source code & HTML Snippet:
Once you have written the content you want to include, remember to click this button to ensure your spelling is correct - a great tool that ensures your website is accurate and professional.
The 'Source Code' button allows you to add HTML code straight into the content of the page where you want it to appear. This is useful if you have been given some code by a 3rd party service e.g. YouTube videos, PayPal buttons, badges from listing sites etc.
Another way to insert HTML code directly on to the page, is by clicking the 'Insert HTML Snippet' button. A pop-up box will appear for you to paste the code provided. Then click save and it will be embedded into your website content.
Alternatively, you can click this short-cut button to insert a HTML snippet within your page.
Quotes & Indents
This allows you to enter quotations and indent either left or right as needed.
Hyperlinks, Images & Files
Click on the paperclip icon to add a hyperlink to an internal or external webpage. Click on the landscape icon to insert an image. And click on the camera to insert a file.
Undo & Redo
These allow you to undo something you've just done (the backward facing icon), or if you've just undone something and you change your mind, you can redo it by clicking on the forward facing icon.
Hopefully that has covered all functionality of your website editor toolbar, however if you are still in any doubt, please do not hesitate to Contact Us and we will respond as quickly as possible.
