How to add a map to your website

There are 2 ways to have Google Maps appear on your website.

1. Include it on your 'Getting Here' page. 
2. Add it as a widget so it appears in the side column of most pages of your website. 

Please follow these instructions to have it appear on your 'Getting Here' page:

• Log into your PromoteMyPlace account
• First go to 'Website Basics' > 'Website Pages' and make sure you have added the 'Getting Here' page to your website
• Then go to  the 'Edit Website Content' section
• Select the 'Getting Here' page using the left hand menu
• Scroll down the page and enter the postcode (zip code) of your accommodation in the 'Enter a location' field provided
• Click 'Find location' once your postcode (zip code) has been entered and choose whether users can get directions and improve the zoom by selecting those options in the tick boxes provided
• Click 'Save' a the bottom of the page

 Please follow these instructions to have it appear as a widget in the side column of most pages of your website:

• Log into your PromoteMyPlace account
• Click into the 'Widgets' section
• Scroll down the page and select the 'Google Location Map' widget
• Go into 'Widget Settings' using the left hand menu
• Enter the postcode (zip code) of your accommodation into the field provided, then click the 'Find Location' button
• Adjust the location if needed by dragging it to the correct location
• Click the 'Preview' button to ensure the map is now showing on your website
