How to clear the cache on Facebook

If you are trying to share your website on Facebook but it's showing an old page in the feed, such as the 'Under construction' page or just a page with previous copy, title or description, it could be the result of a simple caching issue within Facebook itself.

However, the first thing to do is check that your PromoteMyPlace website has been published. If it hasn't, you will need to publish it before the 'Under construction' page is updated. 

If it has, then the likely reason is because Facebook has cached the old page.

To resolve this you can go here https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ enter the URL you are trying to share and click the 'Debug' button.

Then click the 'Scrape Again' button.

This will clear the cache and when you go back to Facebook and try sharing the page again it should show up to date information.
