If you have recently changed the name servers with your domain name provider and the team at PromoteMyPlace have completed the internal setup to ensure that your chosen domain name points to your new PromoteMyPlace website but your website is not showing online, there could be a number of reasons:
- It can take a few hours for the setup to complete. So if we have just sent the confirmation email to you, it may be that you are checking a little too quickly. Check back again in another couple of hours.
- If it has been a couple of hours since the internal setup was completed and your website is still not showing, then try clearing your browser's cache. For help clearing your browser's cache please see this article: https://promotemyplace.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216230123
- If you've done both the above and your website is still not showing, it could be because you are typing your website domain name into Google's search field rather than into the address bar. Make sure you enter the website domain name into the address bar at the top of your browser to check if your website is active online:
- If you are typing your website domain name into the Google search field and your website is not appearing it's likely because Google have not yet indexed it. It can take search engines like Google several weeks to index new websites. We offer advice on speeding up the process in an article here: https://promotemyplace.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216231263
