Why is my image displaying upside down or sideways when uploaded?

Sometimes when you upload images that seem the right way up on your computer, they show as upside down or sideways when you’ve uploaded them to your website.

The reason for this is that certain programs on your computer will automatically rotate images which are not the correct way up, but this is only for viewing. They are still rotated incorrectly in the file.

So, the image needs to be rotated the right way on your local computer before uploading, or you can use the editor in the image manager to turn it the right way.

You can rotate the image on your computer using most photo editors like Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/editor/)

Or you can use the editor in your PromoteMyPlace image manager.

Just right-click on the image inside the MoxieManager screen and select Edit.

Then click Flip/Rotate in the left-hand menu and use the arrows at the top to rotate your image until it displays the right way. Then click Apply.

NOTE: Sometimes when you click into the image that needs rotating it displays correctly in the image manager editor. If this happens, still rotate the image one way and then rotate it back the other so it displays the correct way up again. Then click Apply and Save. 

Software programmes like our image manager will sometimes adjust the image to look correct in the editor even when it isn't. So simply follow the steps above by rotating one way and then back again before resaving for the image to display in the correct orientation of your website.
