An IPS tag is for transferring a domain name to another domain name provider and this isn't usually necessary. Usually, customers will leave the domain with their existing provider and point it to their new website from there by following our instructions here: https://promotemyplace.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216229403-How-to-use-your-own-domain-name
However, if your existing provider won't allow you to do that, because they are not an official domain name provider, you can transfer the domain name to another provider first, such as 123-reg. Unfortunately, you cannot transfer it to us, because we are not a domain name provider. We also recommend that customers have their own separate account for managing their domain names.
Transferring the domain name to 123-reg is a simple process. You can use the search box here and enter your domain - https://www.123-reg.co.uk/domain-names. It will tell you that the domain is already registered and ask if you want to transfer it and you can follow the steps provided to complete this process.
Once you have been through that process, you can give your existing provider the IPS tag which is 123-REG. However, you should only do this once you have been through the transfer process with 123-reg.
Once the domain name has been transferred to 123-reg we can help you to point it to your PromoteMyPlace website if you need us to.
