How to Add Verification Records if You Have an Existing Website with a Domain on Google Domains

Please note: If you have an existing website on your domain name that you would like to point to your PromoteMyPlace website, you'll need to follow the instructions here: https://promotemyplace.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004870812

The first step is to Add Verification Records - if your domain name is with Google Domains, instructions on how to do this can be found below. You'll then need to go back to the article above to complete the rest of the setup. 

Step 1 - How to add the Verification Records:

In Google Domains:

1. Click My domains in the navbar and then click the domain name.
2. Click the DNS tab.
3. Scroll down to ‘Custom Resource Records’.

a. Create a new CNAME record:

i. Name: awverify.www

ii. Type: CNAME

iii. TTL: 1h

iv. Data: pmpsiteserver5.trafficmanager.net

b. Click Add to save the record.

c. Create a new TXT record:

i. Name: @

ii. Type: TXT

iii. TTL: 1h

iv. Data: wrpmp-prod-euw-redirectservice5.azurewebsites.net

d. Click Add to save the record.

e. Create a new TXT record:

i. Name: @

ii. Type: TXT

iii. TTL: 1h

iv. Data: wrpmp-prod-eun-redirectservice5.azurewebsites.net

f. Click Add to save the record.
