New status for reservations from 3rd party site (airbnb etc)

    Totally agree with Carol! I was very surprised not to see a status which covered those bookings - I'm still struggling exactly which status to use for my 3rd party bookings. Looking forward to seeing the reply from PMP.

    Yes Pam.. it's great that we get reminders to chase balances etc but this would not be needed if we had a status particularly for 3rd party bookings as we don't have to request the money. I'm using "deposit received" and then ignoring the regular emails telling me to chase the balance.

    I've gone for Final Payment Received Carol. I've only been on the online booking system for a few days so it is all pretty new to me but I can see how useful it will be now I've embraced Stripe as a payment method.

    Hi Pam, I agree and after my last message I realised how many email reminders I was getting to chase the balances so I have changed the status to final payment received. It would be good however to have a 3rd party booking status that was set up so the system knew payment would not be received until after check in. I would assume a lot of people receive the majority of their bookings from the likes of airbnb, Tripadvisor  or other 3rd party sites so this must be affecting a lot of people.

    Yes same, I put them in as final balance paid except for booking.com which I mark as privisional until a month before as people can and do cancel. I also add a code ie ABB on the 3rd party bookings at the end of the surname so I don’t miss them!

    It is now possible to set reservations to a status of 'Third Party Booking' to distinguish them from bookings where payment is being collected via the PromoteMyPlace reservation manager. If a reservation is set to this status reminders to collect payment will not be sent to you.
