Changing photos from landscape to portrait

Hi 

 

I've uploaded some new photos onto my website, but it keeps turning them into landscape photos when they are portrait.  This doesn't seem to have happened in the past and when I look at the photos on my computer they appear the correct way round.  Is there a way to change a landscape photo into a portrait one.  Thanks.
