Add option to make a Badge link open on same tab

I have used your article https://promotemyplace.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216230763-How-to-add-a-button-with-hyperlink-to-website to add a Call to Action both as a button on a page and as a Badge. I'd like a way to make the link on the Badge stay on the same tab i.e. not open an new tab/window.

Alternatively, can a new feature be added that allows a Call To Action button be added as a widget with a link within the website opening on the same time.
